Qualifications and the Pilgrim’s Path:

Oregon One is a Commandery of Knights Templar working under a Charter granted under the authority of the Grand Commandery of Oregon for the express purpose of conferring the Orders of Christian Knighthood upon worthy and well qualified pilgrims. Worthy and well qualified means to the Commandery, that the pilgrim has successfully completed the tasks set forth in the preceding degrees of Masonry. These tasks are called  the “York Rite Degrees of Masonry.” There are many organizations in Masonry. However, only those who choose the Pilgrim’s path will gain admission into Christian Orders of Knighthood.
While the pilgrim must acknowledge their willingness to defend the Christian religion before he gains admission into our Knight Templar Asylum, the preceding  Degrees of Masonry require no such election of preference. Men of all faiths that believe in the existence of a Supreme Being are welcome to travel the path through the Council. Those who do not qualify for admission into the Commandery still have plenty of opportunities in Masonry to become a Knight or even a Noble. But the distinction of a Christian Knight comes only through the Pilgrim’s Path. Sounds exciting? We think so, and we can show you the way if you ask.
Regular Blue Lodge
1 Entered Apprentice Your journey commences in the “Blue Lodge.” These first moments of exposure to the world of Masonic rituals are kept virtually unchanged from the earliest known times in Masonry. There is a wealth of information and topics for study at the Blue Lodge level. Many choose to travel only to the Blue Lodge level. There are many Blue Lodges in Oregon and Oregon Commandery One would be happy to locate a Blue Lodge close to you, or you may visit the Oregon Grand Lodge for further information on entering the Craft.

Chapter of Royal Arch Masons
4 Mark Master Your journey continues in the Chapter of Royal Arch Masons. At this point you will have learned the lessons contained in the Blue Lodge and will have the opportunity to apply them to your work in the Chapter of Royal Arch Masons. In the Chapter you will have the opportunity of registering your personal “Mark” in the Chapter’s Book of Marks. You will be taught further lessons for introspection and research. In some locations the Royal Arch Degree is seen as the final degree in Craft or Blue Lodge Masonry. But in Oregon we keep the Royal Arch separate. For further information on the Chapter degrees you may contact Oregon Commandery One or the Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Oregon.
5 Most Excellent Master
6 Past Master (virtual)

Council of Cryptic Masons
8 Royal Master Your journey continues still further in the Council of Cryptic Masons. The Super Excellent Master degree is conferred infrequently and is not required for progression.  Frequently meetings of the Chapter and Council occur on the same evening for the convenience of the membership. In some states the Chapter and Council are combined. Further information on the Cryptic degrees may be obtained from Oregon Commandery One or by visiting the Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of Oregon.

Commandery of Knights Templar
11 Order of the Red Cross Your journey to the Orders of Christian Knighthood and the Knights Templar is completed at the Commandery of Knights Templar. The Order of the Temple is distinctly Christian in nature and quite impressive.  The Mediterranean Pass is a fourth order that is part of the three. If you are interested in receiving the Orders by traveling the Pilgrim’s Path to a Commandery of Knights Templar, you are strongly urged to consider contacting Oregon Commandery One.
